GEAUX SAINTS Tuesday, Dec 1 2009

I am very proud and happy for the New Orleans Saints in their win against the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.  They played as a close-knit team complimenting each other in each play of the game.  The return of Mike MacKenzie made me a very happy Saints fan he has been missed and he played an excellent game.  There is a reason Drew Brees is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and he proved himself yet again by setting another record in the number of touchdowns against Belichik.  The Saints defense is getting better with each game, being able to sack Brady was amazing.

Yes sports fans the Saints are 11-0 for the first time in franchise history and they are well on their way to something wonderful.  I would like to thank the Saints organization for all the hard work they put in all year, and to the families who sacrifice time away to give all of us something to look forward to each Sunday.

Y’all are great!!!!!!!

Drew Brees Hits the Bulls Eye Saturday, Oct 3 2009

Some one told me about a video on youtube.com that proves Drew Brees is more accurate than an Olympic Archery expert.  It is amazing to me that a quarterback can throw a football with such accuracy.  Brees hit the bullseye 10 out of 10 times, where the Olympic archery expert hits it roughly 50% of the time.  Drew Brees proves himself week after week on the field, but to be able to prove it for the sake of science is unbelievable.

Watch for yourself and tell me what you think.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVoqA-LKGb4

Who Dat?? Brees Baby Monday, Sep 21 2009

Drew Brees has definitely proved himself again.  In yesterdays game against the Eagles, Brees threw  311 yards for 3 touch downs giving the Saints another week scoring 40 some points in a game.  In the first 2 games of the regular season, Brees has thrown 9 touchdown passes to not just one but several different receivers: Jeremy Shockey for 2 tds, Devery Henderson had 5 catches for 103 yards,  Marques Colston, Lance Moore and Pierre Thomas who is due back on the field next week.

Why is Drew Brees the #1 quarterback in the NFL? His stats say it all, so far this season Brees has completed 51 of 68 passes for a total of 669 yards for 9 touch downs.  During his time with the New Orleans Saints, he has been elected to three Pro Bowls while being named 2004 Comeback player of the Year, 2006 All-Pro Team, 2006 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award recipient, and 2008 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.  Wow !!

He is a local favorite as well.  In New Orleans he and his wife have founded the Brees Dream Foundation in 2003 and have raised and/or committed over $4.5 million to help advance cancer research, care for cancer patients, and help rebuild schools, parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields in New Orleans, San Diego, and Purdue communities.  His commitment to the rebuilding of New Orleans and the surrounding ares in the aftermath of Katrina have been paramount.  Drew Brees I applaude you.  For mor info on Brees Dream go to www.drewbrees.com.   kudos to Sean Peyton, Charles Grant and the entire Saints organization for all of their love and support they given to hurricane victims and the commitment they made to stay in New Orleans.

Back to football, with McNabb out for the game Kolb did a good job throwing for 391 yards and two touchdowns.  The Eagles just couldn’t handle the Saints offensive team.  And the Saints defense was on the ball (literally) keeping the Eagles from gaining ground.  Kolb needs to prove himself a bit more if he wants to keep playing, with Michael Vick set to start in December and the return of NcNabb, Kolb needs to step up his game, which I hope he does.  I like to root for the underdog, and in my opinion, McNabb and Vick are over rated.

It appears the Saints have come into their own this season.  And for all of you heathens out there who don’t ” believe” shame on you.  It is predicted by some that the Saints will be in the Super Bowl in 2013 to be held in New Orleans.  But why put expectations that far in advance?  Why can’t they play in this years Super Bowl and again in 2013?  It could happen, anything is possible when you belive !!

Tell me if you BELIEVE………

And that is par for the course
